Another find, this one via All The Best, is Lorely Furniture, founded by Laura Harris. In perusing her site I found many pieces that I really liked, all small-ish tables, and all oddly named after recent ex-flames, seriously…David, Alexander, Duncan…
I won’t hold the naming against her – they are all as chic and classic as the boys themselves. That essence is what Laura is striving for – in her artist statement she explains that Lorely is filling the gap between hard to find antiques and assembly line basics.
I will have the above Laurence table someday – no ex by that name…yet. It too would go perfectly with my new couch just as it’s photographed here though she offers many other finishes.
I like a good animal print every now and then – the fact that this one is named Duncan will ceaselessly make me smirk.
